BOO Modern Coffee is our first Belgian roastery in the range. Based in Brussels, this young micro roastery was founded by Benoit and Benjamin, two friends who met in a coffee bar in 2022. With a compact 5kg roaster, they produce clear, fresh coffees with a pronounced flavour profile. Their focus is on transparency, provenance and letting the terroir speak and you can taste that in every sip. Their debut coffee, in March 2025.

What is the difference between specialty coffee and supermarket coffee?

Specialty coffee refers to beans that score 80 or higher on an SCA rating, which indicates exceptional quality and unique flavors without defects. This coffee can often be traced back to specific farmers or regions, which allows for more transparency than commercial coffee.

Is your coffee also suitable if I don't have a bean machine?

We do not pre-grind our coffee, because the freshness is lost faster. To ensure that you can still enjoy our fresh coffee, we offer a coffee grinder. With this you can grind the beans yourself for devices such as a filter machine, French press, AeroPress, moka pot and espresso machine, so that you always experience the optimal taste and freshness.

How do you guarantee the freshness of the coffee?

Our coffee naturally has a shelf life of at least one year, but specialty coffee is at its best when consumed between 2 and 8 weeks after roasting. That is why we only sell coffee one month after the roasting date. This way you are always assured of the highest quality and can optimally enjoy the richest aromas and fullest flavors.

Can I return my order?

If you want to return or exchange your order for any reason, we are happy to help! Returns are possible within 14 days of purchase. The costs for returning are at your own expense. You can return your product for a voucher, another product or a refund. Please note that returned items do not show visible signs of wear or use.
