What is the difference between specialty coffee and regular coffee?

Specialty coffee refers to beans that score 80 or higher on an SCA rating, which signifies exceptional quality and unique flavors without defects. While commercial coffee is often produced on a large scale and blended into anonymous blends, specialty coffee is traceable back to the plantation or even the plot. Every step, from the selection of the variety to the harvest and drying method, is carried out with precision. Artisanal roasters ensure that the unique qualities are preserved. The result is a cup of coffee with character, balance, and a story.

How fresh is the coffee I receive?

Our coffee naturally has a shelf life of at least one year, but specialty coffee is at its best when consumed between 2 and 8 weeks after roasting. That is why we never sell coffee longer than one month after roasting date. This way you are always assured of the highest quality and can optimally enjoy the richest aromas and fullest flavors.

Can I return my order?

If you want to return or exchange your order for any reason, we are happy to help! Returns are possible within 14 days of purchase. The costs for returning are at your own expense. You can return your product for a voucher, another product or a refund. Please note that returned items do not show visible signs of wear or use.

Is specialty coffee always organic or fairly traded?

Specialty coffee is not automatically organic, but often comes from sustainable and transparent chains. The focus is on fair prices, direct trade and long-term partnerships with farmers, which contributes to better conditions and better coffee.
