Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose Koffie Kenner?
Choose Koffie Kenner and discover exclusive coffees from independent Dutch roasters from the comfort of your home. We carefully select only the best coffees to offer you an exceptional taste experience. At Koffie Kenner, quality comes first, and we strive to connect every coffee lover with their perfect cup of coffee.
What is the difference between specialty coffee and regular coffee?
Specialty coffee refers to beans that score 80 or higher in an SCA evaluation, representing exceptional quality and unique flavors without defects. While commercial coffee is often produced on a large scale and blended into anonymous mixes, specialty coffee is traceable to the plantation or even the specific plot. Every step, from selecting the variety to the harvest time and drying method, is carried out with precision. Artisan roasters ensure that the unique qualities are preserved. The result is a cup of coffee with character, balance, and a story.
How fresh is the coffee I receive?
Our coffee naturally has a best-before date of at least one year, but specialty coffee is best enjoyed when consumed between 2 and 8 weeks after roasting. That’s why we never sell coffee more than a month after the roast date. This way, you are always guaranteed the highest quality and can fully enjoy the richest aromas and fullest flavors.
Can I return my order?
If you want to return or exchange your order for any reason, we are happy to help! Returns are possible within 14 days of purchase. The cost of returning is at your own expense. You can return your product for a voucher, another product, or a refund. Please note that returned items must not show visible signs of wear or use.
Is specialty coffee always organic or fairly traded?
Specialty coffee is not automatically organic, but it often comes from sustainable and transparent supply chains. The focus is on fair prices, direct trade, and long-term collaborations with farmers, which contributes to better conditions and better coffee.
