Does decaf coffee really contain no caffeine at all?

Decaf coffee contains virtually no caffeine, but is never 100% caffeine-free. During the decaffeination process, approximately 97–99% of the caffeine is removed. The amount is so small that you won't notice any stimulant effect. Ideal for those who want to avoid caffeine but still enjoy good coffee.

How is caffeine extracted from coffee beans?

Caffeine is usually removed using natural methods like the Swiss Water Process or CO₂ extraction. These processes preserve the original flavors of the bean as much as possible. All specialty decaf coffee beans at Koffie Kenner are carefully processed using these methods.

Does decaf coffee taste different from regular coffee?

Good decaf coffee doesn't have to taste different at all. Thanks to modern techniques and high-quality specialty beans, you can count on a full, balanced, and complex flavor. Our selection features decaf with notes of chocolate, caramel, fruit, or nuts, just like regular coffee beans.

Can I use decaf coffee in an espresso machine?

Yes, absolutely. Our decaf coffee beans are perfect for espresso. Preferably choose a slightly darker roast for a full body and rich crema. Of course, lighter decafs are also available, ideal for filter coffee or slow brewing.
