For beginners, we recommend a French press or a manual pour-over set (like a Hario V60). These methods are easy to use and give you complete control over the taste of your coffee. If you’re looking for convenience, a fully automatic espresso machine is a good choice.

An espresso machine uses high pressure (9 bar or more) to brew concentrated coffee, resulting in a full and creamy taste. A filter coffee machine works with a slow extraction and produces a softer, more subtle taste. The choice depends on your preference: strong espresso or aromatic filter coffee.

Regular maintenance will extend the life of your machine and improve the quality of your coffee. Follow these steps:

Descale the machine every 4-6 weeks (depending on water hardness).

Clean the brewing unit and filters regularly.

Use filtered water to reduce limescale build-up.

Replace coffee grinder burrs after extended use for a consistent grind.

The correct grind size depends on your brewing method:

Espresso: Fine grind (like powdered sugar).

French Press: Coarse (such as sea salt).

Hario V60/Pourover: Medium fine (like granulated sugar).

Filter coffee maker: Medium (like sand).

The right grind ensures the perfect extraction and taste.
